nah, this good mr. benjamin netanyahu has agreed on the notion of two-state solution to resolve the israeli-palestine conflict. we cheer him for that. yet, the idea of a demilitarized palestine scripted in his late speech is a no brainer jotting.
it is like telling me:
“delvi you are free now. but, you cannot speak up your mind. you are not allowed to leave your compound without our permission. you cannot build your home on your rightful land. you cannot claim things belong to you. you cannot defend you self when we violate your honor. you are free but both of your hands and feet must be amputated. oh yeah, you are free but we take your tongue away.”
it is not freedom my boy. it is new form of oppression. i do think the prime minister is not serious about ending the bloody conflict between these two nations. in his speech, he did not offer peace to the palestinians. he offered them death instead. a country without military force is a body without immunity system. it will die soon it’s born.

There was this Dutch author ( Simon Vestdijk) about whom a famous colleague once said: He writes faster than God can read. I’m afraid the same goes for you – I’m breathless.
As for your ironic effort to educate N.: spot on, hammer on the nail.
Logic in politics ( and in marketing, public relations or intra marriage communication etc) is rare. N. is no exception. But his insult to common sense is extreme and inflexible indeed. N. now managed to set a new unbelievable standard in this process of action and reaction.
But as for the matter at hand: I think there seems to be no solution in as long as the opposing parties dogmatically claim their total and absolute right by referring to the recent or ancient past.
Especially recent history since ‘46/48 fueled mutual hate.

wah colson. it must be like entertaining your just-know-how-to-walk grandchildren. they run to and fro and you need to keep your pace, so can react fast when they get stumble. definitely, it will be a hard impact workout
yeah, as long as there is this “46/48 fueled mutual hate” is still there, the prospect for peace and justice for both disputing parties is slim. but come on, people need no such witless fire feeding speech.

I sadly have to put the record right: we have one grandchild only ( rumors are though that another one is on its way).
For that matter: she of course is is the most beautiful, smartest and sweetest baby/toddler of the EU and RI together, lively enough to keep fifty granddads busy.
